Arnab Goswami’s Personal Details
On March 7, 1973, Goswami was born in Guwahati, Assam, to Manoranjan Goswami and Suprabha Gain-Goswami, an Assamese family. Manoranjan Goswami, his father served in Indian Army in the early 1960s for over 30 years, and retired as a colonel. After retiring, he joined the BJP and ran for the Guwahati constituency in the 1998 Lok Sabha elections, but was unsuccessful. He has written several columns and books, and in 2017 he was awarded the Asam Sahitya Sabha Award. Suprabha Gain-Goswami, Arnab’s mother, is a novelist.
